About Me

I am a stay at home mom who loves crafts, scrapbooking, baking, surfing the web, and chasing my kids around. I just realized the house is NEVER going to be clean again. I have an amazing husband who is patient, loving and who cooks and cleans. We've been married for over ten years now. This is our life.

Nate's Taste Test

If you haven't seen this video yet, you are in for a treat.  Nate was dying to try one of Taro's umeboshi, which is a Japanese pickled plum.  Taro loves them, and always has some in the fridge.  I have tried them and they are SOUR!  Woah!  We kept telling Nate that he wouldn't like it, but finally gave in and let him try one.  Here is the awesomeness.

Brothers!

and...

A year and a half ago...

Just for fun, here are a couple silly ones from that day.  We were trying to get our christmas card picture.

Poor Nate.  What a sport.  This was really the first time we let AJ hold him "by himself".

 AJ would not cooperate.

Remember this...

I am just having a childhood flashback.

I stumbled across a picture of this lamp on the internet and suddenly remembered that Sandy and I had the EXACT same light in our room growing up.  I'm wondering if mom has it lying around somewhere because they are apparently money makers on EBAY.  HA.  Who knew?

Ryan's Baptism

The boys and I were able to go to Ryan's baptism over Easter weekend.  We were so glad we could join him on his special day.  It was such a good baptism!  So proud of Ryan.

Watching the water pour into the font.

Father and son moment.

Family pic.  Missing Christina.  Tear.

Ry and one of his Primary Teachers.

Afterwards.  Look at that handsome young man in a suit!

Cousins.  Only got a couple snapshots of AJ.  He was camera shy.

CTR cookies for refreshments.  I made the shield shape by bending a metal biscuit cutter.  It wasn't quite wide enough, but it was close enough.  The kids loved them!

Afterwards we went to their house and had a nice dinner.  Deb noticed there was double rainbow outside.  It was so awesome!  We had to hurry and snap a pic with Ry before it went away!

March Madness

Here are just a few pics of what we've been up to this month.

Nate had a mini playdate with his pal Zoe.

St Patrick's Day breakfast.  Rainbow pancakes and a pot of gold eggs.

My cute boy who is getting bigger by the second I think.

So many blossoms are popping out this month.  My peach tree is beautiful right now.
The bees seemed to like it too.

We planted some gorgeous ranunculus.  My new favorite flower!

So pretty.

Weekend (Day Two)

Tulip Festival at Pier 39.  It was such a beautiful day.  Apparently everyone else thought the same thing because it was crowded!!

We headed to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch.

Looking at the sea lions at the Pier.  Stinky little critters.

This little dude walked a lot this day!  So proud of him!  He did so good! His favorite part of the day was finding a museum at the Wharf which had all kinds of really old arcade/circus type games.  He got to play an old 80s Star Wars game, which he thought was the best.

Golden Gate Bridge.  Beautiful!!!

Sandy snapped this one.  Awwww.

Fun Filled Weekend (Day One)

The Beach!!!

Sandy came to visit for President's Day weekend, and *ahem* my birthday.  Ok, not really.  It just happened to be my birthday weekend.

She came from freezing cold and icy Utah to sunny California.  70 degrees.  It was a perfect day at the beach.  The boys and I met Debbie and Sandy at the beach.

Sand delivery for Aunt Debbie.

Ryan got out of school just in time to play with his cousins.

Boogie boarding.  On the sand.  Nate loved it.

Stay tuned for Day Two in San Francisco!

Happy Birthday Taro!

Taro turned thirty something on Jan. 27th.  ok, 38!  Sorry, couldn't resist.  He wanted to have Sukiyaki for dinner.  He bought all the fixins at the Japanese market and asked if I was going to cook it that night.  HA!  I have NO idea how to make that.  Besides, he doesn't have a recipe.  He just throws stuff in there and makes it up I think.

Tableside sukiyaki.  What service.

Waiting for some yummy food, which neither of them ended up eating.

Pretty sure he was saying "Cheese" here and laughing at the same time.  Funniest picture!!

The requested cake---German chocolate cake.  AJ got very upset when I started putting on the pecan frosting.  He said I should take it off and make another cake for Taro.  how rude.  I had to remind him whose birthday it was.

They didn't want any of Taro's ice cream choice either: praline pecan.  Boy!  Picky!  Good thing we had some backup chocolate ice cream in the freezer.

Nate was very, very happy about the backup.

Apparently AJ got over the whole cake thing.
