Father Son Art Project

AJ was dying to make a paper bag mask after he saw the cubscouts make some last week.  He wanted a spaceship mask???  Well, I think he was very excited when Taro decided to help him make one.  Did I mention he is obsessed with Star Wars?  I wonder where that came from???  All day long, I hear "Dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum, dum!!!"  (Darth Vader music) and then repeat.  A few hundred times.  Then to change things up, he plays it on the piano.  Not kidding.

Nate's First Halloween

Nate slept through most of the Trunk or Treat, and he didn't go out on Halloween night.  So, how do we celebrate his inaugural Halloween?  Strip him down and stick him in a pumpkin.  HA. HA.  It was really cold, so we didn't have a lot of time to get him to laugh.  But AJ managed to get a few smiles from him.  What a good sport!

The New Ride

Goodbye old car.  We'll miss ya.  We had a blast driving you for 112,000 miles.  But we needed something bigger.

Hello new car!  Can't get much bigger than this.  Ha ha.  We love it already!  Especially AJ who has opened and closed the sliding doors a million times already and says "That's so Cool."

AJ Turns Three!

AJ wanted a truck cake for his birthday.  Okaaay!  This was my attempt.  Taro said it looked more like a dune buggy.  Whatevs.  AJ liked it and that is all that matters.

Watermelon Truck (or something that kinda looks like a truck)

Ripping his presents open along with his buddies Taylor and Ryan.

Stoplight and race car cookies.

Spiderman likes Sushi

Spiderman getting ready to go Trick or Treating.  Saying he was excited is an understatement.  Telling you he said he was done after three houses is the truth.  But we pushed on and probably made it to another 15-20 houses more.
Showing you some Spiderman moves.

And some more.

Nate making his Halloween debut as a piece of sushi.  Yum, doesn't he look delish?

Hey Edward, where's Bella?

Nate stole some candy from AJ's basket when he got home.  Yes, several houses were giving away full sized candy.  Score!  For AJ of course.

Remember when?

Time flies by.  He just turned 3 on Saturday.  I'm not sure how old he was here in this video.  I recently found a few of these videos that I had never seen before.

Birthday and Halloween pics coming soon.

Four Months

This little chunky monkey is 17 lbs now.  He loves to watch AJ, and just when I'm about to tell AJ he's being to rough with him, Nate just laughs and laughs.  He must be pretty tolerant.

My little pumpkins!

We went to the local pumpkin patch this past weekend.  It turned out to be really hot that day, and we weren't expecting that.  But it was really fun, and we were all literally exhausted when we got home that afternoon.  We have to go back because Taro and AJ didn't get to shoot the pumpkin blasters, and there were tears shed over this.  Taro got over it eventually.  Just kidding.  AJ was literally distraught.  But the line was ridiculously long, and it was way past nap time.
I'm a sucker for these signs every year.  This is the only pic of Nate.  He slept the rest of the time.  Look at that blue sky above!  That is why I LOVE California!

Waiting patiently to ride the train.

He took off at full speed to find the best pumpkin.

Ginormous pumpkins!

I cannot believe AJ wanted to ride the spinning pumpkins.  He loved it.

Hamming it up for the camera.

I.LOVE.THESE.BOYS.

Yummy

Yes I took pictures of our lunch.  Ha ha.  Taro asked me if I was starting a food blog.  Hmmm, not a bad idea.

AJ loves miso soup.  No joke.

Just had to show you the Volcano Roll we ordered.  It's somewhere under all that yummy crab salad with bits of fried goodness shaped like a volcano.  The orange sauce on top was spicy, and very yummy.  Taro said he wouldn't order it again though.  I thought it was great.

This was Mikasa restaurant in Lathrop.  Good service, and great food for a little strip mall restaurant.  Would definitely try it again.

Must go and think up the name of my food blog now.
